DIY 3-Ingredient Tub and Tile Cleaner
If it has soap scum & water deposits, I’d use CLR type cleaners.
Since you clean houses, you know the precautions you have to take with these types of cleaners. But I will let other readers know.
If it’s mold, then I’d use ZEP mold killer & cleaner. Same notice about precautionary measures. Both make serious fumes, because they’re pro strength.
Both need to be applied and then scrub brushed into the grout to mechanically remove the offending “dirtiness”. Just spraying it on, make streaks.
Both will require copious rinsing & to squeegee it and hand dry the chrome.
Since you’re getting paid to do this, it has to be spotless, thus the hand drying.
Both will require PPE, which you would
wear anyway in your occupation.
I used cotton balls soaked w/bleach and pressed them in place and waited a couple of days note... wear something that you don't want bleach stains on or do it without a shirt!!!
Heat up 1 cup of white vinegar, mix in about 1/4 cup of Dawn Premium. Not the dollar store kind, because it is too thin. When mixed, pour into a spray bottle and fill with water. Shake. Spray down the grout and let it sit overnight. In the morning rinse. If you have stubborn stains, spray again. Use this mixture a few times a week. It will keep your grout and tiles clean. Also works wonders in the toilet bowl to keep hard water stains at bay. Oh you only have to heat the vinegar one time when you add the Dawn.
I use this a couple of times a week and my bathroom sparkles
Hi Sheila - This is the shower cleaner that we use to help keep grout and tiles clean and minimize the mildew - it works on kitchen grout too. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

Hi Sheila, We used to deep clean the grout by hand once a year, but it was such a painful process. Now we use a drill set on low speed - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flfAc_jMzvM. It makes life so much easier. You can make your own grout cleaner by mixing up a paste of 3/4-cup baking soda, 1/4-cup hydrogen peroxide, and 1 tablespoon of mild dish soap.
