How can I attach casters to a chest but still maintain its stability?

I've been asking various questions to Lumber Professionals but I can't be sure they are Confident that Gravity won't roll the Chest over. The Chest is not heavy. I would like to attach Casters to the bottom for Mobility. I'm afraid that might encourage it to flip over.

I don't have a chest with casters, but I have a few storage boxes and bins with wheels, and I haven't had trouble with any of them flipping over. If the chest is top-heavy or if the lid is very heavy, you might have a problem, but I think if you counter-weight it with items in the chest, you shouldn't have trouble.
If its not top heavy now it won't be more so if you add castors. I agree with Beth, it shouldn't be a problem especially if you have something in the chest. You can also look for low profile castors so it doesn't sit up so high. They also make castors you can put on the side of the chest so it barely raises it up at all.

Get casters that lock.
Attach the casters in the corners. That will keep it stable.
