You can use chain link and make a long section divided at the back of the yard, or you could use pallets and secure them to t-posts. Another idea would be to use t-posts and attach cattle panel. Or you can even use a clothes line or install something like that and attach a chain to it.
Some dogs are excellent jumpers and will clear pallets like they were doing hurdles.
Chain link fence, 6’ high. Or use the leash/lead idea above.
If you have predators like big cats or coyotes, I would think about that in my design.
Between trees or you can put up posts like a clothesline, then affix to those.

I he one at my house, 3 houses ago. Ours was totally enclosed as we live in a semi rural area. Lots of wildlife out and about.
