What can you do with an old door and side table? We took these and made halltrees for the entryway!

This was a door that was being used in our home when we first bought it! It was solid wood and still in great shape but we did not need it any longer. I knew we needed to keep it and I'm so glad we did!

I owned this for at least 15 years and it had been painted at least four different colors and used in every room of our home for different purposes. When my friend said she needed something in her entry way for a drop zone and for jackets, a lightbulb went off....I combined the door and this storage unit!

I love how this turned out! The only cost involved was the caps for where the doorknob and lock used to be,the hooks, and the spray paint used to make the window into a mirror. I had the screws I used to attached the storage unit to the door and the paint was from a previous project.

After the success of the first door, I couldn't get enough of doors and upcycling them this way! Here is one my sister-in-law and I did by attaching a mini storage unit we found. We added a chalkboard where the window used to be and several hooks on the front and the sides for more hanging storage.

This one was probably my favorite! I had this sweet, old side table and my sister-in-law had the old door from their ranch. We had to cut the back lip off of the table so we could attach it firmly to the door. I really appreciate the two-tone with paint and stain. The mirror was a wonderful addition as well! This one went to my niece and she loves the sentimental value of having a door she grew up with paired with the functionality of having it in her entryway!

You are so creative! Can you tell me what color you used on the red/orange hall tree? Thanks.
