Is there a way to fix burnt wood?

I set the kitchen on fire and partially damaged 2 cupboard units. I’m looking for creative DIY ideas to fix it without having to replace it with new ones

the wood's internal structure has changed since it was burnt. You may want to reconsider.
If the damage is just on the surface, you could try wood fill, drywall compound or even Bondo auto body fill to even out the surface. You will then need to sand thoroughly, prime and paint.
Having said that, if the damage is deeper than the surface, consider replacing or maybe add some open shelving:

Can you share a photo? It really depends on how badly it was damaged.

I would clean thoroughly and then paint.
You’ll have to use a smoke/blocking primer like the correct Kilz or Zinzer formula.
If the wood is alligatored all the way through you’ll have to remove & replace the wood, as it’s structurally unsound.
