DIY Galaxy Jewelry Dish

I have to show you guys this galaxy jewelry dish I made a while ago. I had seen projects with Mod Podge Dimensional Magic and decided to try it out for myself. I have to tell you, it's super easy to use and so cool! There are so many things you can do with this stuff and I can't wait to use it again.

I had this tray lying around, but you can find a similar tray (or dish) from the dollar store if you need to buy one.

I made sure to clean my tray with alcohol before starting. Once my tray was clean and dry I started adding nail polish. I didn't know what I was doing... just pouring paint on the tray.

At first I questioned my skills because I didn't like how the nail polish was looking. It wasn't until I added metallic gold paint that it really started looking great. I used a toothpick to swirl and mix the paint.

Don't overmix the polish because you want to be able to see the different colors. Also, make sure you do this in a well ventilated area because this really does smell!

When the paint is still wet, start adding star charms, glitter and confetti to the tray. I just dropped them on.

When the paint is dry, it's time to pour on the Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.

Follow the instructions on the bottle. I'll warn you, it looks cloudy, but dries completely clear.

When the Mod Podge is completely dry, you have a beautiful jewelry dish/tray!
