Can outdoor seatpads be painted?

There are many kinds of fabric and upholstery paint available. I'd use one of those, making sure to prep the fabric appropriately first, and then ScotchGuard the heck out of it.

Have you tried upholstery cleaner?

Scotchgard is NOT permanent affected by sun/rain. Best bet for long term use - use seam ripper ir single egde razor blade to remove gray gray fabric. If foam rubber cushion reuse or replace w/ new foam (fabric store) or better, use fiber fill.(I reuse old from washed bed/throw pillows-dries quick and not disinigrate over time). Use outdoor fabric ie canvas &, using gray pcs as pattern cut new covers. Lay pieces on floor leaving 1” between pcs. (for 1/2” seams if no seam allowances on old pcs. Using 60” as width, measure length of fabric needed for cushion. Multiply amt. for all chairs. Trace grey on new fabric, cut then sew. I use medium zigzag stitch to secure edges then sew w/ heavy duty or 100 needle. New cushions in a day (plus time @ fabric store & wash old items to recycle fiberfill) = durable, hose washable outdoor cushions! If unclear part or want to insert zipper (not need as hose will clean) but ask and I give easy way to change pattern. susan
