Hi everyone! We were asked to build this custom table for a woman who needed a specific seating layout for her dining room nook. We were able to make exactly what she needed, and we love what we did as well.

We started off by building the base. It is a 4x4 post and 29 inches. We then added in these beautiful feet, screwing all four in using metal screws. We also added in some decorative pieces to give it a lovely layered look.

Once the base was finished, we moved to the table top. We cut a piece of plywood to the dimensions which were requested.

We connected it to the base using the same method that we used to create the feet.

Lastly, we stained the top and painted the bottom, a nice two tone look.

Delivery was made easy by our mini van and of course our little helpers ;).

We hope you like it as much as we do!

Hi, this is lovely, but could you give a better explanation as to how to attach the feet? Are the decorative pieces glued on? I have a small breakfast book and would love to do this, too! Thanks!

Article says you used a piece of plywood for the top. But it doesn't look like plywood in the finished pictures, e.g. no ply looking edges and there are definite board-like connections. How did you accomplish that?
