If you have an ugly light fixture in your home, this is the perfect way to dress it up. Talyn was the only kid in this house with the builder grade light fixture in his room and I couldn't stand it. I've always loved the look of tassel chandeliers and wondered if I could pull one off in a boys room. I decided to use my red and black chenille yarn and love how it looks. I never thought I'd say this about chenille, but there is something masculine about this chandelier... it could be the deep, rich colors.

Start with wire wreath frame. I already had this wreath frame with pipe cleaners attached, but I cut those off since I didn't need them. You can buy a wreath frame at the dollar store.

Cut your yarn into equal length pieces (or as close as possible).

Drape the yarn over the wreath and tie into a tassel.

Continue all the way around your wreath. When the red was filled, I moved on to the black yarn.

When the black yarn was finished, I trimmed all the yarn at the bottom.

This was Talyn's light before...

I wanted this wreath directly on the ceiling, so I added some command hooks and placed around the light fixture.

I love how this chandelier looks and it fits in perfectly with him bedroom!
