How can I put shelves by the kitchen window?

If they are wooden, you can add shelves to the frame.
If metal, then a free standing shelf unit that you attach into the window frame.
Can you add a photo of the window?
Keep in mind that if the shelves are fixed in place in front of the window (not removable) it will be very difficult to keep the inside of the window cleaned.
My window is surrounded by cabinets so I added large/long "L" brackets onto upper cabinets 2 on each side 4 total then attached the shelving to brackets
