What size & what location? Picture please.
Building a 6’ tall fence, stick by stick, is a lot of work and “setting” the fence posts requires digging a 15” deep hole (minimum) and filling it with concrete.
I would buy pre-assembled vinyl fence panels, to save time & maintenance hassles. They’re about $36 on sale for a 6’x6’ section.
I would buy treated 4x4 posts because the termites will destroy them and the fence will fall over 10 years later. I’m not joking.
There are some great videos online with DIY. Here is a helpful one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YyvDtivSBw
my husband built such a fence between our property and the one next door (after an Easter where we saw the junky contents of an open bed pickup truck about 4 feet from our l.r. window!) Since we live in Maine, post holes should be 4' deep but as he says he digs these holes by hand and his arm is only 3' long! Here my husband is painting a mural on the board fence. In this space it is about 6' tall. He did posts, then added stringers and to them attached boards, since front part of fencing has a wood rack attached to it, he added roofing. and since front part is near street he added lattice work for decoration. Fence is on property line, so we really needed it.
