Would Asian Jasmine make for good mulch?
I am a big believer in mulch. I mow and collect Asian Jasmine annually but I do not use it as mulch because I'm afraid it's mulch will germinate and invade my garden and flowerbeds. Is there a way to be sure it will not become a real problem if I give it a try?

If you want to use as mulch, I would dry it out thoroughly on a tarp or driveway and make sure it is dead before spreading.
Cedar mulch is the best. It will give you protection but not attract bugs. A less expensive mulch that is still great use and will not attract bugs (like termites etc) is cypress.
Pine needles are also a great mulch.
Asian jasmine will likely root from a scrap & once rooted WILL take over your universe. & it will strangle trees & other things you try to mulch with it - & once saw it had covered a three piece concrete bench & concrete table set so completely the new owners had no idea it was in the yard!
