How can I repurpose the platform of a bedskirt?

Removed the platform so as to staple the bed skirt directly to the frame (got this idea from one creative viewer). Now too much material to throw away. Ideas, please.

How about making it into wrapping for holiday gifts? Stencil Christmas designs on the fabric and wrap gifts with a bow.
