Hot soapy water with some bleach and a broom than use a hose to wash it down

If you can borrow or rent a power washer that usually works well. Just be careful with the pressure setting so you aren't chewing up the deck. Another option is to use a stiff garage broom and any kind of cleaner--like Mr. Clean or dishsoap--to scrub. Rinse well with a hose when you are done scrubbing.

If they are really tough you may have to rent a power washer. We used one on our house and the sidewalk and it worked great but we did not use it on wood.

Power washers work great on decks. For a wooden deck, just be careful of the strength setting because you don't want to make the wood too splintered. Good luck!

Krud Kutter and a pressure washer would be my best recommendation.
