Hello Kathie,
Us a floor trim, available where you purchased tiles, or at DIY's.
You can seal them with a seam sealer - sold at hardware stores.
No they are pretty durable
I would highly recommend adding an adhesive when you lay them. But them completely next to each other unless you got the kind that is groutable, then you can add grout. You should only have to put trim down at the edge of the room, like shoe molding.
thanks so much.
You can space them like regular tile and grout the seams. Seams can then be sealed like regular grouted tile.

Kathie, I suggest that you go ask a floor man; a person who sells tiles and who knows someone that can tell you what to do. 🌹💖😘
