How do I clean my floor tiles?
I have a high gloss on my floor tiles (which I love) had a dinner party & there has been something spilt I washed it with my steam mop when it dried it has left a smudge doesn't matter how many time i steam it still the same what can I clean them with please
The steam may have affected the glazing or what ever was spilled. Especially if it's acidic.

Oh dear Sherry, sorry to hear that. You may find this tutorial helpful to get the gloss back - https://a1reglazing.com/blog/2018/06/15/restore-shine-ceramic-tile-restoration/ Best of luck
You're most welcome Sherry. Hope you come right
Sherry, if the spill included anything oily, your steamer won't cut it. Try mopping with hot water and a few drops of dish soap.
Thank you Laura
sounds like the smudge is oil based or the steam mop would have cleaned it up. Try some lemon essential oil - the citric acid in it may help break up the smudge so you can wipe it away.
sure! put a couple of drops on the smudge and rub around and wipe off. Hope it works!
I use this on my tile floors:
1 cup baking soda
1 cup white cleaning vinegar
1 Tbsp blue Dawn
2 gallons hot water (I boil about 1/3 of mine)
Thank you Kathy will give that a try
