Paint,no matter how good, will eventually peel and be an eyesore. Have you considered staining instead? Very popular where I live. Just fades over time, yet easy to refresh when necessary. Might be something to consider.
Is your patio wood or cement? They make great outdoor cement paint for patios at the hardware store. If it is wood then I would use a deck stain.
