Dollar store oven cleaner is a good start. By late text gloves, buy disposable nylon scrubber’s, and get very good ventilation before you start.

After you have done two applications of this, and completely washed and scrubbed it off, then it’s time to get out a single edge razor blade.

Hold it at a very shallow angle, and shave off the remeaning residue.

We highly recommend, not getting the oven to be this seriously dirty to begin with .

Linda, another very effective and easy way to clean a dirty oven is to place a glass bowl containing a cup or so of ammonia in the oven and close the door. No need to do anything else. After several hours (maybe 6-8) remove the bowl of ammonia and much of the grime, grease, etc. will be easy to remove with hot soapy water and a cloth. Keep rinsing until the oven is clean. If there are chunks of burned food burned onto the oven floor, just scrape as much away as possible and repeat for the next night. Repeat. Much less scrubbing and elbow grease is needed if you use this method. I do this routine the evening before I plan to really clean. Just put the ammonia in the oven at bedtime and by the morning you're ready to easily clean the oven. It also works well for the grates of bbq grills, Just place the grates in a large heavy-duty garbage bag, add a cup or so of ammonia and seal the bag for a few hours. Then use a garden hose to rinse away the grease, etc. Do be careful with the ammonia and don't get it on your skin because it is very caustic and potent.
