How can I install ripped plywood planks to a concrete slab?

My house use to be a concrete block building that was converted to house (didn't know until after I moved in). There only a concrete slab was no moisture barrier under the slab that causes issues with carpet, vinyl and vinyl plank. I have replaced 2/3 of the flooring with Ceramic Tile, but have run low of money with all the other renovations done and still need to replace the tub and surround in the main bathroom. Nothing had been touched since built in 1970. I need to pull up the carpet in the remaining rooms that have been ruined by dogs when I first moved in and contractors tromping though over the last 4 years. I may be moving but won't know for 6 months to a year. I am trying to find something suitable other than bare concrete slab. I like the look of the ripped plywood plank and wondered if it could be applied with glue or adhesive after applying a moisture barrier like Drilock? The slab is not polished. I'm not sure it could be sanded smooth even if I wanted to deal with the dust, so hoped that this could be an economical solution to floor replacement until I know for sure whether I am staying. This is above grade and have not had any moisture issues so far. Any help is appreciated.

If it's not too rough, I think it could work. I would apply with construction adhesive , like liquid nails. I'd put full sheets if 3/4 " plywood over areas as you lay it with weights of some sort while it drys. Like heavy chairs. Use 3/4" for your ripped down strips. Good luck and have fun.

You have the right idea. Drylock the concrete and use good construction adhesive for the plywood.

You may have to glue it down like they do with engineered wood floors.

Hi Carra, have you thought of just painting the concrete flooring?, you could also try just putting down peel and stick vinyl tiles, I have done them on concrete and they stick fine
