Hi Jackie, sorry you have wax on your furniture. Hope this is helpful. If you act carefully, you can remove the wax without scratching or gouging the table.

    1. Soften dried wax with a blow dryer on medium heat. ...
    2. Blot up the softened wax with a soft, white cloth.
    3. Mix 1/2 cup of white vinegar into 1 cup of water.
    4. Dip the cloth into the vinegar mixture, and wipe away any leftover wax.

Hi Jackie, this method works for wood and for carpet and fabrics.

pull out your clothes iron, and grab several cotton tea towels, or some strong paper towels, scrape as much wax off as possible, then put the towel over the wax are and press the hot iron on, no need to linger, change to a clean towel or paper towel and continue until all the wax is absorbed in the towel. Good luck!

I use a plastic critic card and gently scrape it off. The rub hard with an old Terry cloth rag foe the rest.

  • I used an ice pack at first. This gets any big chunks off. Then I used a brown paper bag and my Panosonic Iron. Use no steam and turn on very lowest setting. I did a small test area on the back of night stand about 1 inch by one inch. Test in area where it won't show. I turned my iron on lowest setting no steam and then shut off. I put the paper bag flat on the wax and gently put the iron on the paper. I didn't slide the iron around I pressed down then pulled up the paper bag. I used a fresh piece of paper on new wax. This beautiful Vintage 1892 Dry Sink turned out like new. I happen upon it at an Estate Sale in which the seller said it was ruined. I picked it up for $25 I also picked up as vintage braided rug that had wax spilled on it. I used a warm iron and paper bag to remove ALL of the wax. I sold the Dry Sink for $1600.00 and the 12x14 vintage rug for $600.0. I figured anything was worth a try if it failed I would just strip it down and refinish it.

Easy... Make It Hard With An Ice Cube And Then Use Something That's Flat And Metal (That Covers The Area) And Lightly Hit It With A Hammer and It Will Crack To Pieces... Then Brush The Pieces Off.
