What is the best shade of white to paint a kitchen?

Antique white for the color and you want a satin finish. A high gloss will show any imperfection in the drywall.

There are 100's of white paints. There is no best. Some have a bluish tint, some grey, some bright white. Go find one at the store on the color charts. Roll definitely. Spray requires a lot of area prep and can easily run unless you know what you are doing. TSP works well for cleaning cabinets as does Awesome cleaner at the dollar stores. it is a degreaser.

Try some samples in your kitchen. Your lighting throughout the day will help you find what looks best. I find the same color looks totally different in different rooms of my house.
