What I'm referring to is, frames that aren't made for a specific size photograph. You mean matting? Sold everywhere. You can purchase by the sheet and create your own if you have a good xacto knife or similar tool. Just Google "picture framing supplies."

I lived and traveled in Europe for nine years, collecting many pictures that were not standard size for US frames. I was dreading the expense of custom framing when it was suggested to me as it was to you above, to get mats cut to fit standard frames. Great idea!
