We're using an old desk in our garage for a workshop area. Got it at a thrift store, as well as a rolling office chair. The drawers are used to hold paint brushes, glues/clamps/fasteners, tools we use frequently, such as a power drill, screwdriver, etc. It has a vise attached to it and there's a large surface to work on projects.
Is it something you could repaint and turn into a kitchen island?
