It depends on what your winter low temperature is. If acrylic (water based) paint freezes it will be ruined. Oil based paints do better in the cold but eventually freezing temps with ruin them as well.

Thank you for answering my question! This is information I was needing! Maybe. I should also ask, is the a way to store it in a building like this? I live in NWArkansas, temps have gotten down to below zero a few times during the winter and summers have made it to 100

It's the opposite where I live It's 110 degrees today so the high heat can cause cans to explode especially spray paint; this is world wide site so depending where you are will be the deciding factor read the labels really well it will tell you then add 10-20 degrees for being in metal building during extremes in weather where ever you are from online sites... Store spray paint cans in the garage only when the temperature is between 55 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. ... Such extreme heat can cause the cans to burst. If acrylic paintings are stored at really low temperatures (40F / 4C or below), the paint film will become brittle, which could result in damage. Some sources say even 50F / 10C is too risky. The ideal temperature for storing paintings is room temperature, between 60F and 80F (16C - 26C).When temperatures are too hot or too cold, a product's shelf life could be shortened. For example, water- based paints stored at temperatures below freezing (32°F) can cause the paint to gel, especially after numerous freeze/thaw cycles.paint should never be stored in a place where it could freeze. Store in a cool, dry room at or above 50 degrees Fahrenheit. When stored properly, a can of paint lasts three to five years. Store paint between 60 degrees Fahrenheit and 80 degrees Fahrenheit and avoid placing cans on concrete floors, where they rust more quickly.
