Can I shampoo an area rug?

I don't know of any you can't but if it's indoor/outdoor I would take outside to give a good cleaning.

All except wool rugs like an oriental, those you want to have prof. Cleaned by a oriental rug cleaner.

Hi Tammy. I clean any of mine that have a good backing. I would first test a spot to make sure it won't ruin the color.

Hi ! I would like to recommend a great carpet cleaner ! It is called Folex , I found it at home depot for around $6 ! This is great , it gets out all stains ... Ink ... Wine ...even dried paint . It can be used in a carpet cleaning machine , as well , as spot cleaning ! Good luck !
