What is the wall constructed from? Exterior siding?

Hello Deborah! You don't mention what your wall is made from. If it is drywall you can replace it or repair it depending on the amount of damage. A picture may help. You might have an easy fix or some work that is a little more complicated! Give us a bit more information for some good suggestions!

Could you post a picture of the damage? That would give us an idea of what you have to repair.

Oh no Deborah, so sorry that you have this problem! Pictures would really help me to determine the best way to fix the wall! But, depending on what the wall is made of will determine what you will need to do to fix it. And is it the actual wall, or is it the molding of a window/door frame? If it is the wall and it is drywall, it is pretty easy to repair with a repair kit, you can fill in any scratches or tears with spackling, then fix the texture... if the wall has texture...and repaint the fixed areas! If they are holes in the wall, then you can still use a repair kit if they aren't too big, they will usually come with mesh that you can place over the hole and then follow the steps above to repair the wall. If the damage is really bad, you may need to cut out the section of drywall and replace it! That is a little more time consuming but easily done! If I haven't answered your question, let me know a little more about your wall and I'll try to help the best I can! Have a good one!
