    You will have to make sure that you seal the paint for water use.

    I’ve painted camouflage on a steel job box that sits outside on my lake property by using 3 colors of camo paint and making paper bag templates for the shapes I want.


    Hold the template 4” away from the canoe and do all of the one color at a time. Let it dry before going on to the next color.


    Camo spray paint is flat or matte finish. And “official camouflage” spray paint is $2 more per can, so go to the largest big box store you can and read labels for flat or matte finish in the cheaper spray paint.

    I watched my neighbor car guy do a car, he laid various leaves and ferns over the base coat and sprayed varous greens.... it looked great. Practice on some poster board first.
