A bench was my first thought.
Take the top put low sitting chairs table telescope for star gazing,bottom leave front open small table and chairs. Me and my daughter are doing one and she fairy lights on bottom part u can even do slor light put a mosquito net around bottom . For aboy I would do a two story ship
How about add wheels to one and make it a trundle bed put it under another one for company
