How do I get rid of vines growing up the side of my home?

There are vines growing up the side of my home. How do I get rid of them before they grow too wild?

  • I don't know what kind of vines they are, Stacey, but I would start by pulling them off the house and cutting them back. Then I would start digging out the roots.

    Hell, We often see vines growing up our evergreen trees, we pull them down with a boating hook and cut them at the base where they emerge from the ground. Our problem looks to be solved. Its a great idea to get rid of them before they become an overwhelming and damaging situation.

    Pull them out get the roots you could also put bleach and water on them after to kill

  • Skip the toxic chemicals. Vinegar works just fine. Dig out at the roots. Cut off at base and let's the vines wither, they will be easier to remove once dried up. Dig out the roots. Watch the area carefully once cleared. If any signs of growth use white vinegar.
