How can I keep deer out of my garden?

I have a full sun area which I like to plant Day Lilly's in because they are so lovely & blossom all summer. The last two summers their have been several deer who come in the night an eat all the blossoms! I have tried lights, bells, deer spray, everything, they still eat a hundred blossoms at a visit! The question is what can I plant that they don't like that will be tall, pretty & blossom all summer?

    Hi Patty,

Not sure if it will work for you, but my co-worker says tht the deer will not eat her sage.

Hello, I completely understand your situation. Dear treat our flowers and gardens like a salad bar.

Generally fencing and cautious plant choices before planting is a recommendation.

This was one of my exam questions.

Perhaps these reference links might help you chose —more disagreeable to the deer flowers and plants— suitable for tour planting zone.

Generally unless you want to construct tall fencing being aware of what deer like and dislike is advisable and to be aware of repellents effectiveness.

1-Preventive deterrent by plant/ landscaping choices could offer deer resistance

3- Research has shown that, while that odor repellents tend not to work, taste repellents can be very effective. Any repellent with egg solids, blood, hot pepper, or capsaicin as an ingredient is your best choice. Some repellents contain both eggs and hot pepper or capsaicin, and those work particularly well.
