Do you want to make it? When I was looking for small space storage, I started out searching for the measurements I had to work with. In one case I purchased a metal rack for bathroom storage that I still use years later because I found a great deal and it works in my new house, too. For another space, I gave up on finding a "perfect little table" which you can find in my projects if you're interested, and made over a small wood table with a new finish, a new top, and wheels (which I find give a piece more use). Still have it, still love it. So check out what you have, since you may have something already that you can use.

If I understand you, this space is just open from under counter to floor? And the dimensions you write of? If the 12" wide opening is wooden sided, I would get the metal strips (4 of them) at the hardware store that you fit the liitle clips into to hold shelves. These would be very useful as shelves could be adjustable and you don't really need them to be other than sections of wood. We have used these with great success to hold book shelves. Less expensive would be to get small pieces of 1/4 round molding and fasten that to the sides of opening (I guess by gluing as too narrow to hammer) and slide wooden shelves in those.

  • Hi, Alice!

I built a towel storage rack years ago for bathroom towels (rolled up) but there's no reason it can't be used for folded dish towels. The plans can be found here. I hope this helps!
