  • Hi Elisha - Hubby and one of his pals decided to take on the project to build these built-in book cases. You can see the before and after and DIY. Hometalk even featured it. It may not be exactly what you are looking for, but hope this helps with some inspiration! Hugs, Holly

Strong shelves have a cleat on three sides that supports the shelves. The cleat is usually a 2x2 and shelves that I prefer are bullnose shelf boards

Elisha, here are several methods. Some are listed as kitchen, but they show you how and you can adapt them to the bedroom easily.

Hi ! I made a wall pantry using wood for the shelves , pipe and fittings from plumbing supplies . You just screw a flange into the wall on a stud for support . Screw in the pipe and end cap . Use 2 for each shelf , also buy pipe holders for the size pipe you used , attach these underneath ( 1 per pipe ) for stability .

Shelves for kids clothing is definitely the way to go !!! I put shoes& boots on the bottom shelf , next shelf up , I used bins for , socks , underwater , pj's .

Then folded clothes on the rest of the shelves. I put out or season clothes on top shelf ! Good luck !
