Mary you can also buy stackable racks to use under cabinets at Home Depot, Walmart, Bed, Bath and Beyond. You would need to know the depth of your cabinets but these work well for storage.

You could go to the Dollar Store and look for baskets, etc to use for storage

Hey Mary! They make shelves that you can purchase at walmart , bed bath and beyond or amazon that are inexpensive and easily just fit inside your cabinet to create an extra shelf or two!

    Cabinet Shelf

Or you can easily DIY an extra shelf if you have a few tools, such as a circular saw/miter saw and a drill!

I helped a client of mine do his 1910 kitchen. I put a long shelf up over the door for storage. I added mason jar storage under 1 of the 2 upper cabinets, just screwed lids on thru the bottom of the cabinet, and then filled jars with all dry goods and screwed them on. I made a grid from an old Trane airconditioner exterior wire grid, painted it, installed 2 plant hooks onto the wall to hang it from, and brought some S-hooks to hang pots, fry pans, and big utensils from.

I got a couple white wire towel bars, put the longest one on the wall next to store, to store the pot lids on. Put the other one on the lower cabinet door inside for hanging dish towels. Installed a magazine holder onto other door below sink cabinet to store cutting boards.

I purchased several of those tiny wooden shelf units that have 2 sheves and an area with pegs for hanging things from that I got at thrift stores, one I hung and made a coffee center, and the pegs held coffee cuts. One went over the back of the stove to hold oils and cooking condiments.

Used some of those white wire kitchen organizers inside cabinets to stack dishes, bowls etc. Hung white hooks to hang more cups from under the other upper cabinet.

I put a very small end table next to stove that I put casters on and added a top to extend cooking cutting surface.

I made a board to go over the sink, that I cut a hole big enough to insert small strainer/drainer, and put the cutting board on.

I got lots of these ideas on Pinterest by searching tiny kitchen organizers.
