Hi Angelica. NO! Not the same compound mixture.
I grew up with a pool in the back yard. My mother would use chlorine bleach only for a day or two only if we were out of regular pool chlorine and she couldn’t get to the store to buy some. Definitely not a long term solution though.
I did in a small portable pool. I just left it overnight before use. Do not overdo amount.
