    HI Ann,

    Do you mean grass clippings?

To generate grass clippings, we bag the lawn when we mow and then compost.

In some areas the people cut their lawns and put the bagged clippings out for pickup on yard waste day, which is usually seasonal. You could search the streets for the bags of clippings, put them in your truck/car. You have to be careful with this because they may have used pesticides or have pet waste in the bags.

A safer way would be to ask a friend or neighbor for theirs...or if they say no, offer to mow their lawn in exchange for the clippings.

    Best to you.

No I want to stop grass growing threw the black membrane and white pebbles

  • Since you have landscape cloth down already, just use plain old white vinegar in a pump sprayer. Chances are those are weeds that have been spread by wind and wildlife. Vinegar will do the trick and be environmentally friendly.

Or . . . Remove the rock, pull back the landscape material, use a sod cutter to remove any remaining growth then replace.
