I recently took down this shelf and thought how great it might look with new colour and style using some left over from another project unicorn spit gel stain.

Old shelf

I begin by blobbing some colour on the underside of shelf with swirly random patterns.

Adding unicorn spit

I also spray with water to assist with the even spread .

Squirt water over the paint

Then covered it with a semi transparent recycle bag that I tore up into pieces.

Cover with plastic

I spread the paint-gently from the centre carefully through the plastic sheet to make sure edges are covered too

Underside of shelf

I begin process on the top of the shelf with colourful random patterns of unicorn spit gel stain and then spraying with water

Spray with water

Then covering the plastic and spreading paint gently from centre to outer edges.

Covered with plastic sheet

Then when ready I lift sheet away gently in one direction

Lifting sheet off design carefully

I am so thrilled with the pattern left is stunning!

i decide to put it up

in my outdoor workshop area which is with overhead protection from weather however you may wish to protect further.

Unicorn spit gel stain shelf makeover

i just love how the colour pops and cheers up the space.

Fun and funky, I just found 2 bottles of deep blue Unicorn Spit paint at the Home for $2.50 each, I can't wait to paint with it.
