How can I get rid of fruit flies?

We have had luck putting apple cider vinegar in a small shallow bowl. Float a little lemon scented dish detergent on top. Make sure there is nothing else that will attract the flies. Make sure all food is in sealed containers, trash doesn't smell, dishwasher and disposal are clean. It may take several days, but eventually you will get them all.

I always use the wine and dish soap trick, works like magic! I will set a small glass out with about 2-3 inches of wine in it and a tablespoon of dish soap...the fruitier smelling the better, at night when I go to bed! In the morning they will all be dead in the bottom! Depending on how bad they are, I may leave it on the counter by the sink for a day or two! Works so well! Hope this helps!
