scalloped trim above kitchen sink

the scalloped trim could not be removed without taking down the crown moulding and doing a more invasive work than I wanted to. Also, behind the scalloped trim there is a flourescent light (that we will eventually change), but for now the trim hides that! I used smaller trim pieces (pic

    great idea,,, I think the scallops came out right after jig saws..... why else would there me so many..... ? Really, they are everywhere..... love this trick

      @Pbawdon some people like it, some don't. I think it's mainly just personal preference, although I don't see new constructions adding this detail in their kitchens.
