Hi there. Mix together one-half cup of Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 teaspoon of Molasses, one-quarter cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water. Mix until sugar is dissolved. Pour this solution in small containers and, if being used outside, hang them in trees. If being used indoors, place them around where you see flies.

It's not a DIY but I use those bags that you fill with water and hang outside. They stink like crazy, but they really work.
Hi, we make a fly repellant with 1 cup vodka, 2 tsp aloe vera juice, 1 tsp lemon eucalyptus oil, and 1/2 tsp. essential oil blend
Mix in a spray bottle and spray the affected area. You can also use this on your skin unless you're sensitive to some of the products. The flies hate the smell and will go away
