Spiders hate peppermint oil! I mix peppermint oil with a little witch hazel and then add water to a regular cleaning spray bottle, maybe 40-60 drops of oil with 2 ounces of witch hazel and the rest water. I have to spray once a week for a few weeks, then just spray once a month to keep the smell there! If they are like the daddy long legs or common house spider, it works great! Hope this helps!

are you wanting a repellent or killing spray? What kind of spiders are they? so many kinds.....Harvestman/Daddylonglegs(not true spiders),Cellar spiders which everyone calls daddylonglegs, jumping spiders, house spiders, are they Widow family of spider because not much keeps them away & they are hard to kill due to harder body type, also Brown Recluse build egg cases inside holes & cracks, they like to hide so need to address those issues or you will have alot more. removal of all egg cases and webbing is important in keeping them away, use a broom to constantly remove/disturb them; Black or Brown widows are heavy bodied so nests are usually lower to ground and extremely sticky very strong webbing. if you find this webbing go to it in dark with flashlight to see if the Widow is out on web either kill her or spray with chemical that will kill it or hire pest control the egg cases are ivory cream colored balls looks like cotton ball but small 1/8 - 1/4 " diameter in size. If you remove the food source you won't have the spiders---crickets,cockroaches,moths,ants depends which spiders you have. All but a very small group of spiders are venomous(most not deadly) so it would be good to know which you are dealing with.

i'd get some good chemical spray from local Bug n Weed mart or some place similar and just spray it all well get rid of food sources and spiders both. then you can use non toxic stuff like peppermint oil to repel them and diatomaceous earth to kill stuff like crawling insects they eat. be sure to seal all holes in and around light fixtures, plumbing, windows, door frames, floors ceilings with some spray foam to keep from moving thru out house & everything out and remove anything/debris/bug hiding places from outside of house too, create a 4ft barrier from house to yard.and keep this treated. I live in AZ desert we not only have Brown Recluse & Black Widows but Scorpions too. putting screens inside all your vents helps too treat attic spaces too. Congrats on new place.

  • Hi Amber - We use this spray in conjunction with our swiffer and in addition to be a great duster spray, it helps to keep spiders and other buggies at a minimum. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
