What type of stove do you have?
If it's a glass stovetop, I always wipe down with warm water, then sprinkle with baking soda. Let sit for a few minutes and then add vinegar to the top. It bubbles and starts working its magic. I let this sit for about 5 minutes and then wipe down with a warm sponge and dish soap. Looks perfect every time.
Blue sponge, hot water and dish soap. If it's stuck on you can spray some Simple Green, let sit for 10min, then scrub. It really depends on what have to clean. Go your hardware store and tell them what you're trying remove and they should able to recommend you the correct product.
