I would put it into the ground for a pond. Marine paint in black to keep it looking nice. Then put pavers around the pond and water plants in it. Put up a bench of some sort around it to make it look like a zen area for relaxation. Perhaps put in a pump and have a waterfall into the pond?
Most hot tub plastics, will not take ultraviolet light forever. Therefore you need to paint it with an exterior grade epoxy paint.
Bury it ,and turn it into a coy pond ? It already has all the fixings to it . ie pump, filter , cover.
