How do I repair 50+ year old slab doors which are broken?

I want a clean, Scandinavian look to go with the modern kitchen, bath and white paint through most of the house. No county looks or fancy moulding suggestions. If I have to buy new ones, I will, but I could put in some work. No busy looks either as there are 2 closet doors, 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom all off one small upstairs landing.
You can repair holes in hollow core doors. As long as you plant to paint the doors and trim white this should work for you!

Cathleen....I would try one door to see if this might work since you want to paint white. Get some contact paper and cut the size you need. Sand slightly around the edges of the paper then paint...hopefullly the sanding will help it blend...otherwise, you may need new doors. Of course kids like posters on doors and that would cover unless it's too many holes!
If you find this is too much work, don't worry about replacing 50 year old doors. They are nothing "special". You could check at a Habitat ReStore for new doors - they will be cheap!

You can buy many types or wood veneers, measure door cut out wood veneer, most are thin enough for an exacto knife. Glue with contact cement per directions, cut out hole for handle. Now you can stain, paint or linseed.
Ok this is what I did I took a paper plate and added a string to the middle held by a tooth pick then insert the plate in the hole and pull to cover the hole plaster over the hole now with the plate there hold the string you might need to tape the string to the door so you don’t loose it .you might need to give another coat of spackle then when dry cut string and lightly sand and stain to mT h
