How to share a dorm room and still have privacy
Hi ! Try getting 2 freestanding book shelves (4-5 shelves high ) , put them side by side facing in opposite directions , dividing part of the area . Use the shelf side as a bookcase storage area and paint the Bach of the other shelf unit with chalkboard paint & use it to keep your projects tests ,papers due dates fixable ..keep lists..things to do ...
You could get something like this $15 room divider: https://www.dormco.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=DLOOKME-LONG-FABRIC-WHT&Click=107585&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5OK7xJaZ5AIVsv_jBx3J7glCEAQYBSABEgLxfPD_BwE
A folding screen is probably best, but there's never much privacy in a dorm room, they're just not big enough. If you want privacy, I suggest that you rent a apartment with some girls and make sure that you have your own bedroom. I've had 4 kids and 2 grandkids in college and they've all gotten apartments so they had their own room. I've suggested the bookcase idea a few times for other rooms, but in a dorm they won't work. Also, don't hang anything from the wall or ceiling that will put holes in it.
Both of my daughters used screens from World Market.
