Is there a way I can cover the middles of my windows only?

I would like to see the trees and shrubbery without seeing the mobile home next door so was trying to think of a 45" x 34" stiff cover for the windows-stiff so I could glue on the butterflies I made from paper. I have paper shades now but they are getting bedraggled.

sheets of foam poster board from art/craft store need special glue that doesn't melt styrofoam- for your butterflies--The best glues to use on Styrofoam are the actualStyrofoam glues such as UHU Styrofoam glue, Weldbond and 3M 77. Styrofoam glue comes in both tubes and spray. The adhesive spray, like 3M 77, makes creating projects easier and without the mess. With 3M 77, the glue dries fast and provides permanent bonding. Or you could make thin wood frames(use dowel rods & glue or sticks or yardsticks anything that doesn't cost alot even some tension rods for curtains would work) for the canvas painters tarp that you can remove when you need to clean or get to the windows.

What about very thin plywood or some kind of thin paneling that can be cut to fit the size you need? I don't know how thick your window frames are or what they're made of, but you could put in a few nails to hold them in place or use velcro or commmand strips if you don't want to or can't use nails. You could paint it, decoupage it, or do whatever you want to it before adding your paper butterflies.

Seeing trees and shrubs without seeing your neighbors mobile home will be difficult. How about something like poster board, cut to fit inside your window but only on the bottom 2/3. That way you can let in light, see trees and yet have a place to put your pretty butterflies? I believe you can paint poster board but have to ask a hobby store about that.

Why not simply use white contact paper? Cut to size, fit to the space. Glue on butterflies.

You can buy bamboo shades or any kind of shade and keep them half open. Even blinds will work.

How about the cut to size window plastic that has different textures so you can’t see through but it’s clear so let’s in all the light?
