How can I upcycle small glass jars for use in beach decor?

I have made hanging candle holders for my gazebo. I put colored glass chips in the bottom of jar and a small battery tea light that changes colors and hung with a macrame holder. I would appreciate any ideas. I have a beach theme guest room. Thank you.

Could you do something similar in guest room but instead of glass chips, use small shells. And instead of tea light, use a string of fairy lights?
When my friends go on a tropical vacation, I ask them to bring me a water bottle of sand and shells. I place those in a decorative glass jar with a screw on top. I have them displayed in a shelf. It's neat to see the different colors and texture of sand from Jamaica to Florida to Galveston to Hawaii!
