How can I prevent animals from going under my shed base?

Had a company come to build a base for my plastic shed. The shed base is pretty high off the ground. I am not sure if the shed base should be that high off the ground and if it does, any suggestions how to fill this? I am worried about animals getting under there. I am not happy with the work but I've read that for air flow it should be off the ground. Any suggestions?Really appreciated ..thanks!
When you said "high off the ground" I expected at least 2 feet or more. What you can do is add skirting to finish it off and prevent animals from creating a home underneath. Here is how.

Concrete blocks will still leak air and won’t be moved by critters.
Expanded metal lathe will work.
We put some garden fencing around the shed.
My garage shed extension is also elevated on blocks to level with the garage floor. What I did was dig a narrow trench around the base about 12" deep. Used wire screen mesh with 1/4" holes. Sunk it into the trench and screwed it to the sides of the shed. Covered the trench with soil. Critters can did under anything level with the ground. With the trench they try to dig and give up.

We had the same issue, we cleared a very small trench around the shed, then I bought lattice and stapled screen to the back. this still allowed air to circulate under the shed. Then nailed the screen backed lattice to the platform (floor of the shed) all the way around. When we got to the ramp we cut the lattice on the angle of the ramp

People involved in wildlife removal will also be able to secure the place so they don't get there. wildlife removal is a problematic topic, it's best not to take it on yourself. I recently had a stable completed and I'm worried that squirrels might settle in the attic. They love to mess with the wiring and something had to be done. I called people and they came over and made it impossible to get in there. So you can look in your town, maybe there are people who do things like that. I hope I was able to help you.
