Can you help me troubleshoot my gladiolas plants?
My glads are having a problem, green came up great, and they started to spike two weeks ago. Then the spikes and any that tried to open turned Brown, and died, they looked like they were burned . We have had rain at a good intervals, no drought. Years ago we had a bug called a "Thrip" invade and we had to destroy all bulbs. Some of the bulbs this year are from years past and some brand new.Would like any ideas or info you might have. Thanks😀

It sounds like to me, that they are being burned.
I have a lot of things like mint and herbs that are being burned for the first time this year.
We’re in a new era of weather, between the accelerating poles’ shift, the weakening magnetosphere and the Grand Solar Minimum.
If you can’t see any thrip, take one glad plant to a good local nursery. Have someone examine the plant, give an opinion, suggest a fix, and do what he/she suggests. You may have to dig up the glad bed and treat the soil. We are expecting a heat index of 112* today in north Texas. I’m surprised that any flowers are still blooming. Rain tomorrow! Jewell
Could it have just been a lot of heat this year? I know lots of peoples flowers have taken a real beating this year. But here is another site that may help, if it is a thrip problem
