What can I make with these plantation shutters?

A corner shelf would be nice. Attach the 2 shutters to form a 90 degree angle then use triangle shaped wood pieces for your shelves.

I would make a room divider. I've seen them transformed on Home talk website.

Love this look ~ an off-season fireplace screen...

I used 2 shutters, each the same height and the same width. Measure the fireplace vertically starting on the floor level and up to the top of the opening... You can add a couple of inches on the top to give it that 'finished' look using thin wood trim (or the actual end of the shutter). The base can be attached to wood that's the same width of each or you can just lean them against the top of the space.

BTW ~ my fireplace operates on natural gas and since it's not used in the warmer weather, putting the screen in front of it is completely safe. PLUS ~ the firebox insert is black --- nice to hide that in the off-season!

Taking the same route as above for the width - making sure both shutters are the same size - attach a cabinet knob to where it'll appear to be the place to open and close the (non) operational shutters. My knobs also have hooks that I can attach to the corresponding shutter which is just a simple way to keep them together when on display then separate them so they're easier to move around or store away.

Last little bit: for 'adorability' you can hang a sweet wreath from the middle where the shutters meet, which signifies the season and/or matches your decor.
