Rob....So much you can do but a picture would be nice so we can see exactly what you have. If you have some old wood or can get some, many people are putting it on small bathroom walls even if just one and paint others. Of course, painting is a good idea for vanity, etc. You can still wallpaper but some believe it is out of date! Good luck! Google Pinterest and take a look at some ideas.

Paint works wonders !!! You can even do a focal point wall with a bright or dark color paint , wallpaper , shills , reclaimed wood , photos ... Then pick up that color in accent pieces like towels , bath mat , containers .. For low cost update just change colors of towels , bath mat , pictures , shower curtain . If you have more money in the budget change out the vanity and light fixtures . Pick a style you like... Vintage , beach , rustic , modern , industrial ..and go for it !!! Have fun !

To make a small room look larger, try to not put too many "busy" patterns in there. A monochrome or very simple shower curtain will help. And have a vanity that has storage room for towels, toiletries etc

Paint is going to be your best friend! You can literally paint the floor, cabinets, walls, bathtub, tile in the shower, etc.

Hi! I found that a light gray gives you a neutral background that looks very sophisticated with white towels. Add some bright hand towels for a pop of color.

I painted my bathroom in 2 shades of gray. You have to be careful with gray because the undertones can be red, purple, blue or green. I had to repaint because unfortunately the first gray I picked had purple undertones YUCK. Since my adjoining bedroom is a very light sage green, I picked gray with green tones. I did the walls a bit darker than the vanity. Then bought new towels to coordinate.
